Nemo
This is Nemo, our Jack Russell terrier/beagle. Her name comes from the fact that she was a stray our friend Richard found tied to a fence at his church. “Nemo” means “no name” in Latin.

PumpkinSeed
Our friend Judy at Carolina Eskie Coalition, in Mooresville, N.C., just lost PumpkinSeed, the Pomeranian Prince, to an undiagnosed illness. Of all the dogs she has found homes for and taken into her own home, PS probably enjoyed being the center of photographic attention more than any of them. Although I never had to photograph PS (he was not a foster dog in need of “adopt me” photos), I managed to snap a few of him every time we visited.
Here are a few candid images of PS the way my wife and I like to remember him.
Chaucer
This is Chaucer, my brother from another litter. He is a blue heeler my parents have raised from a puppy. I took these pictures during the July 4th weekend at my family’s home in Mississippi.
